Privacy Policy

The short version

Unjiggle is built privacy-first, on purpose. The app runs entirely on your Mac. We have no account system, no product analytics, and no tracking. Your home screen never leaves your computer. The only time anything goes over the network is when you choose to use an AI feature, validate a purchase, or visit this website. Each of those is spelled out below.

What the app collects

Here is every category of data the Unjiggle Mac app touches:

  • iPhone layout — app names, positions, folder names, page order. Read from your iPhone over USB when you scan. Stored only on your Mac. Never sent to us.
  • Your share cards— generated on your Mac. You decide whether to save or post them. We don't upload or store them.
  • AI features (optional) — if you use Mirror, Obituary, Transform, or AI Stylist, your app names and layout are sent from your Mac directly to the AI provider(Anthropic or OpenAI) to generate the result. We are not in the middle. The provider's privacy policy applies to that request. If you bring your own API key, it's stored in your Mac's Keychain and never transmitted to us.
  • License check — if you bought Pro, the app occasionally asks our server whether your license is still valid (e.g. after a refund). It sends only your order ID. No layout, no personal data.

That's the whole list. There is no usage telemetry, no crash reporting, and no analytics SDK in the app.

What this website collects

  • Aggregate, cookieless analytics — we use privacy-friendly web analytics (Vercel) to count page visits and see whether the site works. It uses no cookies, stores no personal data, and does no cross-site tracking. We cannot identify you from it.
  • The archetype quiz— runs in your browser, no signup. When you finish, we log the resulting archetype and score (e.g. "Digital Hoarder, 42") with no name, email, or identifier attached, so we can tell if the quiz is useful.

Payments

If you buy Unjiggle Pro, payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe shares your email with us so we can deliver your license key and help you with support. That's the only personal data we hold.

Third-party processors

The only companies that ever handle your data, and only in the cases above:

  • Anthropic / OpenAI — only if you use an AI feature; they process your app names to generate the result.
  • Stripe — only if you buy Pro; processes payment and your email.
  • Vercel — hosts unjiggle.com, the download, and the cookieless analytics.

What we do NOT do

  • No advertising, no ad networks, no data brokers.
  • No selling or sharing of personal information (CCPA: we do not "sell" or "share").
  • No tracking cookies, no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking.
  • No reading or transmitting your home screen off your Mac.

If we ever add product analytics

We don't collect usage data from the app today. If that ever changes, it will be strictly opt-in, clearly explained, and it would exist only to power features you asked for (for example, AI personalization). It will never be on by default, and never required to use the app.

Your rights

Most of your data lives only on your Mac, so you already control it. In the app, Settings → Remove All Data wipes your license and any local cache. The only personal data we hold server-side is your purchase email (via Stripe). To access or delete it, email support@unjiggle.com and we'll handle it, typically within a few days.

Children

Unjiggle is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Updates

We may update this policy. Material changes will be noted here with a new date.
